About Us

Golden Hour Wellness was co-founded in Thousand Oaks, California by Hallie McAnall and Ivette Guintu, two cousins through marriage. When they met at a family holiday gathering, their love of yoga and wellness instantly bonded them. Later, their journey through motherhood deepened the bond as they became an inseparable part of each other’s mom village.

Golden Hour is an homage to their family that ties them. Guintu, in Tagalog means Gold. As moms, Hallie and Ivette have also come to know the witching hour too well. Their vision is to transform the witching hour to the golden hour by creating a village where connection meets wellness to counteract the tough moments and days of our lives.

Meet Hallie McAnall

Hallie’s passion for dance and expression through movement has been present since birth. After years of dancing on stage and its taxation on the body, Hallie decided to make the full transition from dance to yoga about 8 years ago. She has been practicing yoga since the age of 21, and now at 38 has found yoga can fulfill her same passion of movement through a much safer and sustainable exercise. She completed Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga teacher training in 2014, and has enjoyed teaching yoga alongside her travel career and more recently her role as a full time stay at home mom. Her classes are a vinyasa flow, with dance infused inspiration. She aims to build on flexibility and strength, while incorporating fun and creativity through various poses. On a personal note, Hallie is mom to Kinsley (3) and Cayden (1) and also teaches barre classes with Fit4Mom Thousand Oaks. She enjoyed a 16 year career working in travel previously and loves to play outdoors with her husband, kids and friends on the weekends!

Meet Ivette Guintu

Ivette is a certified yoga teacher; corporate leadership development professional; and mom of three kids, Jai (7), Rea (5), and Teo (1). Ivette started practicing yoga in 2007 after her then boyfriend, now husband, suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Yoga became a healing practice for Ivette and has been with her ever since. Ivette completed the Power Living Yoga Certification in Australia and Bali, and has also studied and taught Yin Yoga and Meditation.

Ivette works in tech full-time, building and leading teams and programs that support the learning and development of senior leaders, managers, and their teams. She is passionate about creating experiences that facilitate learning, growth, and resilience.

Ivette loves travel, wine tasting, and time in nature with her husband, three kids, extended family, and friends.
